Three children died in a house fire Sunday night, Feb. 2, in West Bloomfield Township.
Firefighters from all six West Bloomfield fire stations responded to a 911 call reporting a fire in a home on the 5000 block of Pembury Lane shortly after 8 p.m.
It was reported that residents inside the home were trapped, according to a release from the West Bloomfield Fire Department.
Crews forced entry through the front door and found three residents, a 16-year-old girl and two boys ages 15 and 12. They were transported to hospitals where they later died.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
West Bloomfield firefighters received assistance from the Bloomfield Township Fire Department.
